Château des Charmes Wines Ltd. ("Château des Charmes") is an estate winery located in the Niagara, Ontario wine region. The company sells its wines through provincial liquor boards, licensees, on-site tourism and hospitality services, and its retail locations.
Château des Charmes was founded in 1978 by the late Paul-Michel Bosc, a fifth-generation French winegrower. Paul was the recipient of many honours including a doctorate from Brock University, The Order of Ontario, The Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals, the inaugural Canadian Vintners Association Award of Distinction and The Order of Canada for his significant contributions to the Canadian wine industry. Paul’s son, Paul-André Bosc, grew up in the company and for many years led all aspects of the vineyards and winery as President and CEO of Château des Charmes.
This transaction allowed the shareholders of Château des Charmes to implement their succession strategy while ensuring the continued growth and success of the business.
