Tory is a member of MNP’s National Accounting Advisory team, which delivers key accounting and financial reporting insights on business success. Tory brings more than 15 years of progressive experience with publicly listed entities and complex private entities primarily in the technology, software and telecommunications industries, but also has experience in the manufacturing and cannabis sectors. Tory has held senior positions in industry, run her own consulting practice and worked within the public company sector in both an audit and advisory capacity.

Tory has led many engagements helping companies prepare for initial public offerings (IPOs) and / or convert their accounting standards to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). She has dealt with a breadth of technical accounting matters and financial statement reporting under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP specifically, as it relates to revenue recognition, acquisitions, leases, debt financing and stock-based compensation, along with other complex matters. Her skill sets include preparing technical accounting position papers, quantifying accounting impacts, preparing financial statements and their related note disclosures, assisting management in preparing filing statements, improving existing financial statement close processes, assisting with internal control matters, and assessing the impacts of new accounting standards.

Tory earned an Honours Business Administration (HBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006, graduating at the top of her class as Gold Medalist. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2008.
