Selena Willier-Schmidt is a Manager with MNP’s Indigenous Services team. A proud member of Driftpile Cree First Nation, Selena brings over 23 years of experience in First Nation health programs and services, community engagement, and capacity development. Top of Form

Selena has actively collaborated with numerous First Nation communities in Alberta and has facilitated the instruction of hundreds of Indigenous health leaders and managers across Turtle Island. Her approach emphasizes a two-eyed perspective, seamlessly integrating Western and Indigenous ways of knowing in her work.

Selena possesses a wealth of experience within the realm of First Nations health, spanning various levels of engagement from community and tribal council to provincial/territorial, and national governmental initiatives. She served as Education Specialist at the First Nations Health Managers Association, overseeing the flagship health management certification program. Previously, she held roles at Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council as Special Projects Manager and Assistant Director of Health, with earlier experience in various positions within First Nations and Inuit Health Branch and Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta.

A Certified First Nations Health Manager through the First Nations Health Managers Association, Selena also holds the Aboriginal Health Citation from the University of Alberta and has completed the Canadian Health Association’s Modern Management Program.
