Rod Simpson, RPF, is an experienced business consultant that has worked for over 30 years with industries and governments in Alberta and across Canada. Since 1993, he has supported a wide range of clients as an advisor on matters of business strategy, economic and financial management, outsourcing, business re-engineering, and organization improvement.

Prior to beginning his consulting career, Rod spent almost 20 years working in government and industry, in positions responsible for capital investment or acquisition, organization change, information technology, and finance and administration. During this time he was part of a small team within the Alberta Government responsible for attracting in excess of $3 billion in forestry investments to the province. He also managed information technology, finance and administration for an organization with annual expenditures in excess of $100 million and 2,000 permanent and seasonal staff. He led downsizing initiatives, designed and implemented new financial planning structures, established new business service centres, and directed changes in revenue policies.
