Raoul Heredia, CPA, CA, is a Senior Vice-President and Corporate Restructuring Advisor with MNP’s Insolvency & Corporate Recovery practice in Montréal. Raoul draws on more than 30 years of experience to help owner-managers and management teams of medium-sized private and public companies effectively navigate through a difficult period brought on by financial and operational challenges. He has a keen sense of understanding the issues faced by entrepreneurs and managers and develops strategies to rapidly resolve the situation.

When restructuring is the best option, Raoul assists clients by developing and implementing workable turnaround plans and providing support services in the form of interim management. As an advisor, he offers informed, practical ideas and solutions for companies considering restructuring, mergers, acquisitions or divestitures. He also helps clients in the roles of Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and CRO advisor by providing a wealth of knowledge developed through years of experience. In addition, Raoul has a network of financial service providers who can bring working capital or equity to boost turnaround efforts. He has been involved in significant refinancing and M&A transactions as part of re-launching strategies.

Raoul’s strong business knowledge was developed while holding several CFO and CEO positions in private and public companies, as well as through his later experience as a Restructuring Advisor and a Partner in a private equity group. He has authored numerous articles related to restructuring, creating value after restructuring and the roles of the CEO, CFO and CRO.

Raoul received the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA*) in 1979, after earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. He received the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation in 1983. He is a member, past President and director of the Montréal chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and a former member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada.
