Michael Freeman, CPA, CGA, is a Partner and Business Advisor in MNP’s Assurance and Accounting Services group. Working out of the Lloydminster office, Michael draws on more than 20 years of experience to deliver advice and solutions to help owners and management teams make informed decisions and increase profitability.   

Michael has significant audit experience, serving private companies, First Nations, municipal governments, school divisions and non-profit organizations, including charitable organizations and housing authorities. He also provides accounting, business advice and performance measure management to small and medium-sized businesses. Michael’s services include many aspects of taxation, including corporate and personal tax planning and compliance.

Michael stays up to date with changes to audit standards and accounting standards, specifically in Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). He also facilitates seminars for the Regional Business Accelerator of Lloydminster and acts as a business coach for the organization’s members.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Michael qualified as a Certified General Accountant (CGA) in 2002 after receiving a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of Calgary. He is a current board member of the Regional Business Accelerator of Lloydminster and the Devin Seguin Memorial Foundation.
