Michael Chorley, CPA, CA, is a Partner with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting Services team in Edmonton. As a Partner, Michael directs teams working on assurance engagements for entities in a variety of industries. He draws on nearly a decade-and-a-half of audit experience and deep knowledge of the oil and gas, real estate and construction and Indigenous services industries to develop practical, tailored solutions for MNP’s clients.

Michael is hands-on, helping MNP’s engagement team plan audit engagements while overseeing the team and conducting file reviews. He has considerable experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), as well as financial statement audits, internal control testing and specified auditing procedures.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom, with Distinction), Cooperative Education Program in 2006 from the University of Alberta. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2010.

Michael is a Director with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton and Treasurer with the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association.
