John is a member of MNP’s Farm Management Consulting group in Winnipeg. With more than two decades of agricultural and financial industry experience, John helps farm producers across Canada make effective business decisions, so they can increase the profitability of their farms and enhance their competitive edge.

John grew up on a mixed grain and hog farm in southeastern Manitoba and still lends a hand on the farm as needed. This lifelong experience helps him better understand his clients’ everyday operations and challenges.

John helps the owners of small and large farm operations, identifying needs and opportunities and providing recommendations for improvement. He delivers advice on solutions that include business, strategic, operational, and succession planning; operational reviews; preparing financial projections; refinancing, and cost of production analysis.

Prior to starting his consulting career, John worked at one of Canada’s major banks for a decade and at a large credit union for three years as an agriculture account manager.

John graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in agro-ecology in 2000. He is a Professional Agrologist (PAg).
