James Fuerderer, CPA, CA, is a Partner with MNP’s Assurance Services team in Calgary. With over 20 years of experience, James provides independent audit and attestation services designed to enhance the reliability of information prepared for investors, creditors and other stakeholders. James works with both public and private companies listed on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange, including capital pool companies in diverse sectors operating in both Canada and emerging markets.

James has worked with senior management teams, audit committees and boards of directors to identify and understand issues, preserve continuity of service and maintain open communication among parties throughout the process. As an advisor, he draws on his wealth of experience to help clients proactively manage their challenges and seize opportunities.

James has performed a number of special reporting engagements for clients, including going public, prospectuses and internal controls over financial reporting (National Instrument 52-109). He is well recognized for his pursuit of client service excellence, for mentoring and training MNP team members and for supporting oil and gas team members during client engagements.

Designated a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1995, James has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Throughout his career, he has presented on topics such as reporting requirements for public companies and venture issuer regulations for Infonex, Federated Press and the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants. James is President of Rotary Club of Calgary Olympic.
