Jake is a member of MNP’s Tax Services team in Burlington. Jake specializes in U.S. and Canadian individual tax, helping individuals and companies navigate the ever-changing tax landscape on both sides of the border. With extensive experience in cross-border consulting and compliance, he delivers tailored advice on the cross-border issues surrounding a mobile workforce.

Jake helps companies in a variety of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, telecommunications, technology, entertainment, athletics, professional services, and retail services. He provides clients with support on mobility policies, payroll, tax returns, tax equalizations, and equity compensation.

Jake helps individuals navigate the complexities of ensuring compliance with their U.S. tax obligations, while residing inside or outside of the U.S., and the tax issues surrounding immigrating to or emigrating from Canada. 

Prior to joining MNP, Jake worked at a Big Four firm for a decade.

Jake earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from Queen’s University in 2006. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2009 and a CPA (Illinois, 2010).

Jake is a regular presenter on tax topics, mobility policies and processes.
