Ian Murphy, CPA, CA, LPA, is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting team. Working out of the Cornwall office, Ian draws on more than 10 years of experience to help clients achieve their business goals and reach new levels of success.

Ian’s services include conducting audits, reviews and compilations, preparing financial statements and assisting with personal and corporate tax planning and compliance. He works with owner-managers in various industries, including agriculture and construction, as well as the municipal and not-for-profit sectors, delivering advice and solutions customized to each client’s unique needs.

Ian grew up on a dairy farm, giving him first-hand knowledge of the challenges of operating an agricultural business. He understands AgriStability and AgriInvest and helps clients interested in using these farm income programs make strong decisions for their businesses.

In 2007, Ian earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2010, and he received the AgExpert Analyst Certified Advisor designation from Farm Credit Canada in 2012.

Ian sits on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Aid Society of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and is the current Director for the Eastern Ontario chapter of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors.
