Jessica Grantham is a Chartered Professional Accountant and senior manager at MNP. She works with our real estate and construction clients and other business owners, delivering practical solutions to help them succeed. Read on to learn more about Jessica.

Did you always want to be an accountant?

No. I started with MNP in 2008 as an administrative assistant. During that time, I saw the passion many of our advisors had for helping their clients, which inspired me to finish my business degree and pursue my accounting designation. My unique career path has given me a full understanding of our business.

Tell us about your role at MNP.

During my time articling, I started working with many clients in the real estate and construction sector and have worked with those clients ever since. I have friends and family in the real estate and construction industries, so this has always been an area of interest to me. I have always found transactions and businesses in this industry to be very interesting and often challenging.

Describe your professional self.

When helping clients I try to put myself in their shoes to understand where they’re coming from. I like to come up with practical solutions to a variety of issues and really care about their well being. I also enjoy mentoring and seeing my team members succeed.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I have two young boys who keep me busy. I work a reduced work schedule, which allows me to spend more time with my family while the kids are little. I try to make work time for work and home time for home, when possible.
