What is your approach to networking?
My approach to networking is to connect with people locally and have light conversations with them about their business. It’s been difficult with COVID because normally you’re meeting people at events and talking in person.
I’ve also built a network through community involvement. I spent my free time with local track and field organizations – it’s a great way to get to know people around the community.
Is there a specific niche you like to focus on? What led you to focus there?
My focus is mainly on small- and medium-sized sized businesses, especially when people are just opening up a new business. Sydney is seeing a lot of people opening new businesses as we have an influx of younger people coming to town, and they’re jumping at the opportunity to fill needs in the community by opening a business.
We’ve always focused on supporting entrepreneurs. Starting and running your own business is a lot of work and we’re proud to support business owners as they navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with entrepreneurship.
How do you add value to your relationships with clients?
Our team delivers all business needs in one place. It’s not just accounting or bookkeeping – we are a business advisor. We help businesses develop tax strategies, solve their most challenging problems, and build long-term plans. For me, it’s about being someone that a business owner feels comfortable talking about all kinds of problems with and trusting us with their business.
