-
Tax planning
A proper tax plan can reduce the amount of tax you will pay in your lifetime and will ensure any transfers are fair and/or equitable with after-tax dollars. Our team analyzes your situation and develops a plan to ensure you’re set up in a tax-efficient manner.
-
Asset risk assessment
Different assets carry different amounts of risk in estate situations. For example out-of-province or country assets can have unique implications. We help you understand the risks of your assets and guide you through a strategy to mitigate any challenges.
-
Asset distribution strategy
The question of who gets what is at the core of many estate disputes. Developing and communicating a thorough asset strategy, including assets you may not have considered, maintains family harmony and reduces conflict.
-
Will review
Wills are dynamic documents that need to change as your situation evolves. Few people have wills that stay up to date or capture everything they should. Our team evaluates your will to ensure that you’re always prepared.
-
Generational education
A legacy that lasts generations happens through determination and education. To be responsible stewards, the next generation needs to be prepared and informed. Also, it is important to arrange supports in cases where the next generation is not able to manage assets on their own. Our team can help facilitate generational education and we tailor those conversations to your wishes.
