Rohit Aggarwal’s (he/him) journey with MNP began nearly 15 years ago when he attended a campus roadshow during his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo. Many of his peers were drawn to large international firms, but Rohit was captivated by MNP’s culture and opportunities.
"I attended the presentation and knew immediately that I wanted to work at MNP," he recalls. “I applied for a co-op position and was elated when I got an offer.”
Rohit’s career progressed rapidly. After completing three co-op terms, he was offered a full-time role and was soon promoted to Senior Accountant. "I thought I was in trouble when I got called into a Partner’s office. When they told me I was promoted, I almost asked them if they were pulling a prank on me," he laughs.
His promotions kept coming, leading to a call from MNP CEO Jason Tuffs, welcoming him to the partnership.
“MNP has always welcomed my ideas and celebrated my entrepreneurial spirit."
At MNP, Rohit’s entrepreneurial spirit was not just accepted but celebrated. "I've always been a non-conformist, questioning the 'why.' MNP has always welcomed my ideas and celebrated my entrepreneurial spirit," he explains.
Leadership played a significant role in his growth, with mentors like Brian Cheng providing invaluable guidance and support. "Brian took the time to answer every question, even if it meant he couldn’t get his own work done. That kind of support has always been the norm at MNP."
For students aspiring to achieve high future earnings, Rohit advises having ambitions and communicating them effectively. "Own your career, be curious, and take initiative. Look at the leaders you admire and piece together the person you want to become."
Rohit’s story illustrates how MNP’s supportive environment fosters professional growth. At MNP, he found a place where his entrepreneurial spirit could thrive, allowing him to build a successful and rewarding career.
