Victor is a member of MNP’s Valuations practice in Vancouver and co-leads the firm’s valuation for financial reporting client group. Trilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, he is also a member of MNP’s China Services group. With more than a decade of accounting and valuation experience, Victor specializes in valuation for financial reporting purposes. In addition, he is a seasoned financial modeller, and is knowledgeable in the valuation of complex financial instruments.

Victor works extensively with reporting issuers and private companies in a wide range of industries, and partners with management teams to tailor customized solutions to address their valuation for assurance requirements. 

Victor is highly experienced in relevant sections of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), such as the valuation requirements for purchase price allocation, impairment test, fair value determination of private company investments, contingent consideration calculation, and fair value determination of financial instruments. In addition, he has years of practical experience addressing queries from regulators and audit firms and co-leads the firm’s regulatory review as it relates to valuation for financial reporting.

Victor earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in finance from Simon Fraser University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV).
