Alejandra Paredes and Jorge Paredes to Join MNP, Building on Commitment to Help Pharmacists Grow their Businesses

January 24, 2005, CALGARY, AB – MNP, one of Canada’s largest national professional services firms, is pleased to announce that two market leaders focused on accounting and advisory services for the pharmacy sector, Alejandra Paredes and Jorge Paredes, will join MNP as Partners, effective February 1, 2025. They will bring with them an additional team of four professionals.

Alejandra Paredes and Jorge Paredes are both focused entirely on providing accounting and business advisory services to pharmacists and their businesses across the province of Québec.

MNP has been steadily expanding its footprint throughout Quebec since entering the market in 2011 with its first office in Montreal. Today, MNP has 34 offices, 204 partners and over 1,400 team members across the province. Regional Managing Partner for the Montreal region, Jean-Philippe Langevin, CPA, CFA, CBV/EEE, CFF, said the move reflects MNP’s continued commitment to the region:

“We are thrilled to welcome Alejandra Paredes and Jorge Paredes to our Firm. Their very focused skillset and experience with pharmacists will be of tremendous value to our growth, and will increase our ability to support the pharmacists we already have within our client base.”

Founded in 1958, MNP has grown to more than 130 locations across Canada and delivers a wide range of services and specialized expertise in every sector and area of business. While becoming the largest of the mid-market focused firms in Canada, MNP has continued to maintain its Canadian roots, helping Canadian businesses both at home and abroad.

"We have grown quickly but we are absolutely committed to maintaining our culture and so have always been very strategic about who we invite to join our team," added Jeremy Cole, FCPA, FCA, CBV, MNP's Executive Vice President for the GTA and Quebec. "We are known across the communities we work with as being one of Canada's most-trusted professional services firms, so we are excited to welcome a very well-respected practice led by Alejandra Paredes and Jorge Paredes into the MNP family. Our cultures and values are well-aligned, and we share the same entrepreneurial, trusted approach to doing business."

Alejandra Paredes, CPA auditor, says the merger strengthens her team's ability to support their clients:

“We are particularly excited about MNP’s strong focus on healthcare professionals, which is a specific group of people we have exceptional expertise and experience working with,” said Paredes. “MNP complements and enhances our current service offerings for pharmacists and brings greater bench strength that we believe will help us to provide even greater value to our clients across Québec.”

Alejandra Paredes, Jorge Paredes and their team will move into MNP’s downtown Montreal office upon the effective date.
