MNP Celebrates the Retirement of Alvin Bennett and Michael McMahon

BROCKVILLE, AB - JUNE 1, 2021

The partners and team members of MNP would like to congratulate Alvin Bennett and Michael McMahon, CPA, CA, on their retirements at the end of May 2021.

Alvin and Michael have spent more than 45 years supporting business owners in the Brockville and surrounding areas, using their targeted advice and solutions to meet clients’ individualized needs.

Both men are actively involved in the community as volunteers. Over the years, Alvin was a member of the boards of Brockville YMCA, the Brockville Kinsmen Club, the Brockville Community Foundation, and the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Foundation.

Michael spent six years as treasurer of the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce, a two-year term as President of the Chartered Accountants Association of Eastern Ontario, and is a founding member of the annual Friends of Palliative Care golf tournament that raises funds for palliative care services at the Brockville General Hospital.

While Alvin and Michael will both be missed in the Brockville office, the team would like to extend their congratulations and wish them the best in their retirements.

MNP is excited to announce Krystle Mitrow, CPA, CA, is now in the Partnership. Krystle joins Richard Birbeck and Carl DeJong as partners in the Brockville office. Krystle draws on more than 15 years of experience and works with owner-managed clients in various industries, including real estate and construction, retail, professional services, and agriculture, as well as with not-for-profit organizations. She focuses on taxation, including corporate taxes and reorganizations, personal taxes, and estate and trust returns.
