Karen is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP’s Private Enterprise and Agriculture teams in Courtenay. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in public practice, she delivers strategic advice and insights to help clients make sense of their finances, plan for the future and support the overall growth of their business.

Karen provides accounting, tax, succession planning and management advice to business owners in a broad range of industries, including construction, real estate, finance, retail, and professional services, as well as not-for-profit organizations. She works extensively with business owners in the agriculture and food sectors, including farmers, food and beverage processors and the commercial fishing and seafood industry.

For Karen, her work is about more than the numbers — it’s also about getting to know her clients and their families and helping them succeed. To this end, in addition to providing traditional year-end accounting and tax services, she helps her clients throughout the year to address their business questions, challenges and opportunities as they arise.

Karen is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Certified General Accountant (CGA) in 2010. A strong believer in supporting the community, Karen is president of the Islands Agriculture Show and has served on the boards of Dawn to Dawn: Action on Homelessness Society and the Comox Valley United Soccer Club.
