Andrew is a member of MNP’s Indirect Tax Services team in Waterloo. Andrew offers tailored, practical advice to domestic and international businesses in a wide range of sectors and industries, including financial services, technology, cross-border goods / services, and intangibles.

Andrew’s services include indirect tax advisory and compliance support, transaction planning, due diligence, international structuring, non-resident businesses operating in Canada, and input tax credit allocation methodologies. He also advises on risk assessments, audit defense, ruling requests, voluntary disclosures, objections, and issues relating to Selected Listed Financial Institutions (SLFIs).

Andrew brings a broad skillset to his role. While his primary focus is sales tax advisory, his deep experience in accounting, assurance, and income tax helping small, medium-sized businesses, and large public companies helps him better understand his clients’ challenges and opportunities.

Andrew earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) in history and political science from the University of Toronto in 2006, and a Master of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA) from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management in 2009. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA). He has completed the CICA In Depth Tax Program, and numerous courses in both Canadian, and U.S. sales tax.

Andrew has authored technical articles in various publications for tax professionals, and regularly leads sales tax training sessions for clients, tax professionals and other service lines across the firm.
